Überm Rauschen

Überm Rauschen – The Rushing of the Water
C. H. Beck

Back then, the father and brothers went fishing together, the roar of the weir behind the pub in the Eifel region where they lived, brought forebodings and fantasies to the brothers' childhood. But the father, always in search of a gigantic mythical fish when out fishing, is dead. And the older brother Hermann is in the process of losing his mind. The younger brother has come back to the place of his childhood to help the family, he stands in the river, fishes and thinks back through his brother's life, his own, the family's.
