Announcement AKEP Award

The Publishers‘ Committee of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association awards the best publishing performance in the field of electronic and digital publishing.

The prize aims at showing outstanding examples of innovative developments of national and international publishers in the field of electronic publishing and wishes to call publishers’ attention to this sector.

The prize is awarded by an expert jury. The nominees will be announced at the Frankfurt Book Fair on 12.10.2011 at SPARKS Stage in Hall 4.2.
Nominees get the chance to present their projects to a broad audience on 18th of November 2011 at the E:PUBLISH | Congress for Innovative Publishing  in Berlin. Winners will be honored with a eulogy and a certificate.Furthermore, the award winner is granted to advertise the winner product using the claim "best performance inElectronic Publishing 2011."

The AKEP Award will be awarded in two categories:
- Best performance in Electronic Publishing (national)
- Best performance in Electronic Publishing (international)
 

Eligibility:
Candidates submit their project using the online application form linked on
www.akep award.de
Deadline is 30th September 2011.

Requirements for the application is the ability to attend the Conference “E:Publishing” in Berlin on 18th of November 2011 (Project presentation).

The products must be submitted to the jury in a number of five copies. The jury may make site visits and request additional documents. During the preparation period, the jury is to  be granted full access to the products and services. Appropriate passwords are to be disclosed.

The submitter is responsible for ensuring that the application will be entered in full and on time online. Likewise, the submitter guarantees the technical performance reliability of the contribution.

All submissions are put to the test by a notable panel of experts and evaluated extensively. The jury's decision is binding.

With the submission of the project, participants agree to the conditions of participation, the nomination process and the jury's decision. All decisions are final.

Deadline for online registration is 30 September 2011.

The works submitted will remain with the German Publishers and Booksellers Association.
