Richard Charkin
Richard Charkin is Executive Director of Bloomsbury Publishing Plc. He is responsible for Bloomsbury’s publishing activities in UK, USA and Germany (through Berlin Verlag). He is also a non-executive director of the Institute of Physics Publishing. He is a member of the Strategy Advisory Board of the British Library, a member of the Institute of English Studies Advisory Board, a member of the UK’s Literary Heritage Group, a Trustee and former Chairman of Common Purpose International, Council member and former President of the Publishers Association and Visiting Professor at the University of the Arts London. He was formerly Chair of the Trustees of the Whitechapel Art Gallery, Chair of the Society of Bookmen, Chairman of xrefer.com, a director of the Centre for Creative Business at the London Business School and non-executive director of Melbourne University Publishing.He has held senior positions at Macmillan (CEO worldwide), part of Verlagsgruppe Georg von Holtzbrinck (Director); Current Science Group (CEO); Reed Elsevier (CEO Reed International Books) and Oxford University Press (Managing Director Academic and General Divisions).
He has an MA in Natural Sciences from Trinity College, Cambridge, was a Supernumerary Fellow of Green College, Oxford and attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School.
Virginie Clayssen
After obtaining her Master's degree in Architecture, Virginie Clayssen oriented herself to the field of new technologies and specialized in multimedia. She has worked in the field of video, computer graphics, CD-Rom and Web design. In 1985 she participated with a group of Computer Artists in the Apple Expo Gallery in Paris. In 1995, she developed her first CD-Rom, an edutainement title for Children, published by Hachette Multimedia. She has a vast experience as a free lance on-line and off-line product manager and has collaborated with several book publishers on CD-Rom and web site projects. Virginie has also been a lecturer on Multimedia screen-writing (ADAC) and Web Culture (ESAT). Since january 2008, she is working with Editis, second largest French publishing group, where she is the senior digital development manager. She has also authored two books: "Zoom sur Internet" (1999) and " Zoom sur les médias" (2002).

Ronald Schild
Ronald Schild (39) ist seit 2006 Geschäftsführer der MVB Marketing- und Verlagsservice des Buchhandels GmbH. Zuvor war er in verschiedenen leitenden Funktionen in Medien- und IT-Unternehmen tätig, zuletzt leitete er bei Amazon die Partnerprogramme Marketplace und Merchants@. Er hat in Deutschland, Frankreich und Großbritannien Betriebswirtschaftslehre studiert.
