For our department EdTech Engineering, Team Core Technologies & Architecture in Berlin we are looking for a part-time (20h/week) (Senior) DevOps Engineer (m/f/x) EdTech Services Hub (20h/week)

Your tasks

  • Active participation in the future of learning through the implementation of Educational Technology Services (short: EdTech) in the agile team "EdTech Hub"
  • Teaming up with the DevOps and Software Engineers, Solution Architects and Product Managers of the various cross-functional product teams
  • Cooperative conception, implementation and operation of cloud infrastructures for the maintained services. Technical basis: Linux/Unix-based open source stacks, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and container infrastructures with Docker/Kubernetes
  • CI/CD with Gitlab or Jenkins, automation with Ansible, Infrastructure as Code with Cloud Formation or Terraform and monitoring of applications with Zabbix
  • Advising the development teams on tooling and processes

Your profile

  • Completed bachelor's degree in a technical/mathematical subject or comparable training such as IT specialist in system integration or relevant professional experience
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or another cloud provider
  • Experience with the highly available operation of web applications and microservices based on Java/Spring Boot or PHP, in combination with open source technologies for DBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), cache (Redis), search (ElasticSearch). Experience with Unix-based operating systems, preferably CentOS or Ubuntu. Experience with BASH, Python or other scripting or programming languages. Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS or REST as well as web server technologies
  • Working knowledge of automated provisioning and delivery
  • First experiences in Identity & Access Management/SSO on the basis of e.g. Keycloak, gluu and/or Azure AD Connect
  • Good English knowledge. If you do not know any German, you are interested in acquiring it
